We are now accepting proposals for ISSUE #2 of Faculty — our print publication.
Faculty celebrates and highlights Chicago's graphic design culture and voices.
Following the success of Issue #1, the upcoming theme of #2 will focus on play, experimentation, and curiosity. Often, in our design work, we succumb to the requests of our clients and stakeholders, so for this issue, we encourage you to break every rule imaginable, take risks, bring forth a bold attitude, and use Faculty as space to unleash your faculties uninterrupted.
Our call for submissions is open until Friday, August 1st, 2024. If your submission is selected, we will contact you through email to collect more information and discuss the next steps.

REVIEWED
We also hosted our first portfolio critique session with our friends at One Design; it was a wonderful afternoon of designers coming together to help each other grow. Thanks to everybody who joined us. We look forward to doing more in the future.

Print (and analog) is not dead. And never will be.
Our friend and Underscore guest (EP 11), Francis, published a magazine. He refers to it as a graphic design magazine for outcasts. You can grab a copy here.
And the award(s) goes to…
We are happy to tell you that One Design received a professional honoree award for their design for our series Confronting Design, which they collaborated with us last year.
Also, congratulations to friends and Underscore guests Guy Villa and Sharon Oiga (EP 33) for their poster, which received a Silver Award from Graphis. We are so proud. 🥲
